Picked up the RV at 1 and left town by 3. The whole concept of a traveling home on wheels was pretty amazing to the kids. The side door was a little too narrow to get Grandma June in and out of with her walker or wheelchair so we have improvised by carrying her up and down with a folding chair. Works for now.
Drove to Waco and stopped for dinner. Unfortunately the Dr. Pepper museum closed at 4:15. Finished the three hour drive from Austin to Dallas by taking a detour through Daeley Plaza where JFK was assassinated. Quickly figured out that navigating tight downtown spots can be tricky.
En route to the hotel we drove by the Dallas Temple. It is tucked away in the middle of a beautiful residential neighborhood on Willow Lane
What was the Seinfeld where they did the trajectory just like JFK? What hit them all? Can't remember. That angle looks ridiculous. But remember the accuracy of that SEAL sharpshooter a few years ago with the pirates off the coast of Africa(?). So maybe Oswald was that good.
ReplyDeleteWow! Did you see the grassy knoll? After seeing it, do you think he really could have made that shot?
ReplyDeletei feel all of your questions can be accurately answered by Oliver Stone's "JFK"
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat temple, I've never seen that one, very different.
